AI limits and spend.
On one panel.

AI Cockpit puts the limits and the spend of nine AI services on one panel — Claude, ChatGPT & Codex, the Anthropic API, the OpenAI API, Kimi K3, OpenRouter, Grok, GitHub Copilot and DeepSeek. It only reads. Nothing passes through a server of mine.

Malware that steals session cookies from browsers is a real risk: with a stolen cookie, someone gets into your account without a password. AI Cockpit reads no browser cookies and keeps none of its own. The subscription cards use a sign-in, the API cards keys you enter — both stay in the keychain of this device, on Windows in the Credential Manager. Why that matters →

Codex · weekly windowWeekly limit reached.

The limit isn’t the problem.
The surprise is.

It never arrives at a good moment. You are three files deep in a refactor, the context is warm, and the window was at 90% forty minutes ago — you just had no way of knowing that.

AI Cockpit keeps the numbers where you already look: the Mac’s menu bar, your Home Screen, your wrist. Nine services on one panel — you watch a window fill up, and it turns amber before the window runs out. The phone fetches its own figures; no Mac has to be awake for it.

What’s new, in pictures

Mac 7.6 is out since 16 October 2026, iPhone 2.17 since 13 October and Windows 1.10 since 18 October; Mac 7.7 and iPhone 2.18 are in review at Apple. The first four pictures show what came since Mac 7.3 and iPhone 2.14 — with Claude in a green of its own. All pictures show the newest builds (Mac 7.7, iPhone 2.18, Windows 1.10). Everything is the real app with sample figures from demo mode — no real accounts; the notices are drawn with the app’s own texts.

The Mac panel in demo mode with the Claude card in green: one sentence on top says “Claude 5 h is running low”, a filled bell next to the 5-hour window, the line “Today’s share: 5% of the week, 3% used” under the 7-day window and “Renews in 5 days” at the bottom, next to the headline “Free again? You’ll know.”

Quick start

Nothing to read up on: a four-step assistant opens on first launch, Skip works on every step, and everything can be done later in the settings. One thing to know beforehand — the cockpit reads your accounts. The subscriptions and API credit it shows are ones you already hold and pay for at the providers themselves.

What it does with those numbers

The services are listed above. This is what the cockpit makes of them.

NewKnow before a plan renewsMAC + IOS + WIN

Enter when Claude or ChatGPT renews, and the app tells you 1–7 days before, at 9 AM — for Claude with a hint if a smaller plan would do. The card says “Renews in 5 days (14 Oct)”. Since Mac 7.5, iPhone 2.16 and Windows 1.8.

NewA bell for every resetMAC + IOS + WIN

Tap the bell next to a window and you hear from the app once it is free again — at the reset, or at once if the provider resets early. Since Mac 7.5, iPhone 2.16 and Windows 1.8.

NewA daily share for the weekMAC + IOS + WIN

“9 % left for today so the week lasts” — every weekly window splits what is left across the days to the reset. On the cards and in the large widget. Since Mac 7.5, iPhone 2.16 and Windows 1.8.

NewQuiet nights, and your AI monthMAC + IOS + WIN

Quiet hours and “pause until tomorrow” keep the app silent at night. On the 1st, “Your AI month” says what AI cost you — plans and API, each service, the month before. Since Mac 7.5, iPhone 2.16 and Windows 1.8.

NewYour limits in the terminalMAC + WIN

Your percentages and amounts in the Claude Code status line — “Claude 63 % · Codex 49 % · OpenAI $2.87”. Off by default; no keys, no account names in the file. Since Mac 7.4 and Windows 1.7.

NewOne sentence says where you standMAC + IOS + WIN

“All in the green” or “Claude is getting tight today” — at the top of the panel, in the large iPhone widget and on the watch. Since Mac 7.4, iPhone 2.15 and Windows 1.7.

NewWhere to switchMAC + IOS + WIN

When a window hits 90 % and Codex, Claude or a second account still has room, the card says so: “Codex has 70 % left (5 h)”. Since Mac 7.4, iPhone 2.15 and Windows 1.7.

NewNo surprisesMAC + IOS + WIN

A notification when a window resets off schedule or your API spend jumps — and a check on whether your Claude plan pays off. Since Mac 7.3, iPhone 2.14 and Windows 1.7.

NewA control and four barsMAC + IOS + WATCH

Your status and “refresh now” in Control Center, on the Lock Screen and the Action button — and on the iPhone a Live Activity with up to four bars.

NewYour coloursMAC + IOS + WATCH

Three colour schemes — Graphite, Deep Blue, Classic — and a colour of your own for each card. Graphite is the default; Classic keeps the old look. On Windows too, since 1.7.

NewOver or under planMAC + IOS + WIN

A time marker in every bar shows how much of the window has passed. One look tells you whether you are ahead of your quota or running into it — “28 % over plan” says it in words.

NewUsed — or what’s leftMAC + IOS + WIN

Read every quota the way you think: as used or as remaining, on cards, widgets, the menu bar and the watch. The warning colours stay honest either way.

NewA countdown that ticksMAC + IOS

On the Lock Screen and in the widget the time to the next reset counts down every second — and the iPhone widget now fetches every service itself, Codex credits included.

NewDeepSeek, the ninth serviceMAC + IOS + WIN

Your DeepSeek balance per currency, with what you topped up and what was granted — dollars and yuan never added up. When the balance runs out, the card says so.

NewYour watch, your figureWATCH

A second complication you set up: which service, which window — 5 hours, week or credits — and used or remaining. The old one stays as it was.

NewFind any settingMAC + WIN

A search field at the top of the settings finds every switch, in English and German. Enter jumps to the first match — on Windows since 1.6.

NewHears about new versionsWIN

Once a day the Windows app asks GitHub whether there is a newer version and shows a quiet band if so. It downloads and installs nothing — and can be switched off.

NewWhen will it run out?MAC + IOS + WIN

Under every window: “At this pace full at 6:48 PM — before the reset”, or that it lasts. From your pace alone, no history needed — in the widget, on the Lock Screen and the watch too.

Alerts before the wallMAC + IOS + WIN

A notification when a window crosses your own threshold. Two levels, both off until you switch them on.

Widgets everywhereMAC + IOS + WATCH

Desktop widgets on the Mac, Home Screen, Lock Screen and StandBy on the phone — set up your way: one service or all, used or remaining. On the wrist, complications in four shapes — one of them set up your way.

The menu bar, your wayMAC

Both values, only the most critical one, a ring or the time remaining — plus a key-figures bar you compose yourself.

Live Claude Code sessionsMAC + WIN

What is running right now, with model, subagents, token shares and context window — and a heads-up when a session waits for you. From Mac 7.7 and Windows 1.10, Codex sessions sit in the same card, sorted by what needs you.

Outages, namedMAC + IOS + WIN

When a provider reports an incident, its card says so — instead of leaving you to wonder whether the fault is yours.

Demo modeMAC + IOS + WIN

Every card filled with sample figures, without a single account. Look around first, sign in later.

Ask it out loudIOS

«How full is my Claude window?» — Siri and Shortcuts answer from the figures already on the device.

Where your quota wentMAC + WIN

By project, model and hour, up to a year back — raw tokens, their API-price equivalent and an estimated share of each window. Numbers only, kept on your computer.

Nine services. Up to eleven cards. One cockpit.

Every subscription and API you pay for, side by side — each with the one figure that decides whether you can keep working. Add only what you use; every card is optional. Claude counts twice if you want it to: a second account gets its own card.

All nine services run on all three platforms. The newest, DeepSeek, is on Windows since 1.5 (30 September 2026) and on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch since 2.11 (1 October 2026), and on the Mac since 7.2 (7 October 2026). It shows a balance, not usage: DeepSeek offers no usage endpoint, and the card says so. GitHub Copilot has been on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch since version 2.5 and is on the Mac since 6.5. Only Claude Code sessions stays off the phone — it reads sessions running on the machine itself, so there would be nothing to show. Mac and Windows both have it.

One cockpit, five devices

The Mac app watches while you work. The iPhone app — which brings iPad and Apple Watch with it — answers the question you have everywhere else: is there anything left? And on Windows the same cockpit sits in the notification area of the taskbar.

Setup x64 · 1.10.0 Setup ARM64 Free · outside the stores · not signed

Claude Code sessions run on Mac and Windows, not on the phone — they read files on the machine. Widgets are on Mac and iPhone; the tip jar and the voice query exist only in the App Store editions. The table below shows the rest, feature by feature.

About the Windows build: it is a snapshot, not a twin — 1.8 brings what Mac 7.5 brings, from the renewal calendar to “Your AI month”, on top of 7.3 and 7.4 in 1.7, 1.9 added the OpenAI fixes and the diagnostics of Mac 7.7, and 1.10 brings the look of the Mac — main window, sessions card for Claude Code and Codex, settings with search, setup assistant — and takes the Claude figures straight from Claude Code; widgets stay on the Mac. It will not follow every Mac release. It is in no store, so there are no automatic updates — from 1.5 it checks GitHub once a day and tells you when a new version is out, without downloading anything. From 1.10 you get it as a Setup file (per user, no administrator rights). The files are not signed: Windows will call it an unrecognised app, and you get past that with More info → Run anyway.

What runs where

Everything that keeps a limit from catching you out — on every screen you use. Honest ticks only: a dash means it is not there. Windows is free and outside the stores: no sandbox, no signature, no automatic updates — from 1.5 it tells you when there is a new one.

Free, and nothing sold on the side

Both apps are free on their App Stores — no trial that expires, no feature held back for a paid tier. No subscription, no account with me, no usage limit. The subscriptions and API credit the cockpit reads are ones you already hold and pay for at the providers themselves.

It is paid for by a tip jar in the app, under Settings → About. It unlocks nothing and changes nothing — there is no paid tier to buy into. The long answer is in the FAQ.

  • Credentials live only in the device's keychain — on Windows, in the Windows Credential Manager
  • Direct connection to the official APIs — no server of mine in between, no telemetry, no ads
  • The app only ever reads with a key: it creates, changes and deletes nothing

What's new

Next: “OpenAI costs that hold up”. Mac 7.7 is with Apple for review since 18 October 2026, iPhone, iPad and Watch 2.18 since 19 October 2026; Windows 1.10.0 is a free download from aicockpit.info since 18 October 2026. Mac 7.7 and Windows 1.10 also bring one sessions card for Claude Code and Codex; Windows 1.10 adds a main window, a setup assistant and an installer. Costs load in small sections, so one bad answer from OpenAI no longer fails the card. A day the app cannot read is named — “2 days missing” — and never counted as zero. A new Diagnostics page shows a light per provider, the last requests and a report for support that you send yourself; the app sends nothing. It began with a customer whose card said “no JSON object”. Mac 7.7 → · iPhone 2.18 → · Windows 1.10 →

Mac 7.6 and iPhone, iPad and Watch 2.17 are out now (Mac 16 October 2026, iPhone 13 October): “Clear and calm”. Every card fits its text, outages show once in a single bar, and a failed fetch no longer empties a card, a widget or the watch — the last figures stay, marked with their age. On the Mac, folder access and history now survive a reinstall. Mac 7.6 → · iPhone 2.17 →

Mac 7.5 (13 October 2026) and iPhone, iPad and Watch 2.16 (12 October) came before. Their theme is your money and your time: a note before a plan renews, a bell that tells you when a window is free again, a daily share so the week lasts, quiet hours with “pause until tomorrow”, and on the 1st “Your AI month” — what AI cost you. On the iPhone there are six Shortcuts instead of two. All of it stays on your device. Mac 7.5 → · iPhone 2.16 →

Windows 1.8.1 came out (11 October 2026) with the same features as Mac 7.5 — and OpenAI costs back on the card: OpenAI now answers for the past year only, and 1.8.1 asks for just that. iPhone 2.16 and Mac 7.5 carry the same fix. What’s new in 1.8 →

Mac 7.4 and iPhone, iPad and Watch 2.15 came out (10 October 2026). Their theme is clarity: one sentence says where you stand, a tip says where there is still room, a plan check reads your weekly use, and (i) buttons explain every term. On the Mac your limits also show in the Claude Code status line, and a notification tells you when Claude is done. Mac 7.4 → · iPhone 2.15 →

Windows 1.7 came out (9 October 2026): everything from Mac 7.3 and 7.4 in one step — the status line for Claude Code, “Claude is done”, the switch tip, one sentence on where you stand, alerts for early resets and cost spikes, a plan check, colour schemes and Share as image. What’s new in 1.7 →

Mac 7.3 and iPhone, iPad and Watch 2.14 came out (8 and 9 October 2026). Their theme is no surprises: an alert when a window resets off schedule, a cost alert, a control for Control Center, on the iPhone a Live Activity with up to four bars, and three colour schemes. Graphite is the new default; Classic brings back the old look. Mac 7.3 → · iPhone 2.14 →

Mac 7.2 came out (7 October 2026). Under every window a forecast now says when a quota runs out: “At this pace full at 4:44 PM — before the reset”, or that it lasts — from your pace alone. The figures are fresh right after sleep, throttling no longer passes for “signed out”, and the Copilot card names GitHub outages. New too: a right-click menu, the second Claude account in the menu bar, and a widget that warns where the app warns. 7.2 carries everything from 7.1, 7.0 and 6.9, which never came out on their own: the Accounts page, DeepSeek as the ninth service, a search in the settings, quotas as used or left, the time marker and a widget you set up. Mac 7.2 →

iPhone, iPad and Watch 2.13 came out (3 October 2026): the same forecast in the app, the widget, on the Lock Screen and the watch, a refresh button in the widget and a one-line version above the clock. iPhone 2.13 →

Windows 1.6 came out (3 October 2026): an Accounts overview with a page per service, a search in the settings, GitHub outages for Copilot, only one app at a time, fresh figures right after standby and an English interface throughout. Everything now lives in one folder, %APPDATA%\AI-Cockpit. What’s new in 1.6 →

The Mac and iPhone apps have no update notice of their own — the App Store handles updates — and there is no account that could send you one. If you want to know when a new version lands, this is the way — or the feed, if you would rather stay anonymous.
